His band, The Beatles, was the most successful and critically acclaimed band in the history of music.
The Beatles were active from 1960 through 1970
He married an artist named Yoko Ono, and was happily married up until his assassination.

How did it/will it impact the world?
John Lennon is widely considered to be one of the greatest musicians the world has ever seen. His work with The Beatles, along with his solo work impacted hundreds of millions of people’s lives. People still listen to him 33 years after he died, and will continue to listen to his music for a very long time.
Why is there still interest in it today, or why will there continue to be interest in it?
People will always be interested in him and his music. The music the 1960’s produced will never be topped, nor will rock-and-roll ever be the same.

How do you personally connect with this topic?
I heard him for the first time when I was not even 1 year old. My Dad didn’t really know any good lullabies, so he just sang me his music! One could say he has been my favorite artist for over 18 years!
